Each year, millions of adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized, simply because too many pets come into shelters and too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet. The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them.

This is how it works:

  • if one of our available animals ( see profiles below) caught your eye, please click on “Adoption Application” located by the profile button to fill the application form.

Our adoption process:

All adoptions require a completed application, veterinarian and reference check, interview and a home visit.
We are 100% volunteer based, so we only contact those who applicant who appear to be a good match.

Living Arrangements

We do adopt to those living in multi-dwelling units such as apartments or condos. However, we will require proof from your landlord or association stating that pets are allowed with any size/breed restrictions noted. Not all available animals are a good match for multi-dwelling setting. We will discuss this further during interview process.
We require our pets to live indoors and not be primarily confined to an outdoor kennel/run, a tie out or be allowed to roam unattended, outdoors.
Invisible fencing is not allowed.

Healthcare

We require all pets in the home to be up to date on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. Cats must have, at a minimum, an up-to-date rabies vaccine.
Likewise, we require that our adopted animals receive regular preventative vet care. Please consider cost of veterinary care when deciding to add an pet to your family.
Our pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Sometimes puppies/kittens are too young to be spayed/neutered but are otherwise ready for adoption. In cases like this, the adopters must provide a $300 deposit to that will be returned once proof of the spay/neuter is received. The adopters will be responsible for the cost of spaying or neutering. This is required to be done no later than the pet’s approximate first birthday and failure to do so will be considered a breach of the adoption contract and Carescue reserves the right to take the pet back.

Adoption fee for cats range from $250  to $300

Did you know that adopting two kittens is better than adopting just
one? Young felines flourish when they have another feline friend.
